Laki Mahamud, MSW, LSWAIC As a Muslim, East African American with a Master’s in Social Work focused on Community and Social Justice Advocacy, I am a Licensed Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical (LSWAIC) dedicated to bridging the gap between mental health and cultural understanding. My work centers on offering accessible, culturally competent mental health resources to marginalized communities, especially those facing barriers around language and stigma. With a strong commitment to dismantling mental health stigmas, I provide one-on-one therapy and engage in community advocacy to foster environments where individuals and families can access compassionate, respectful care. Through my training and culturally sensitive approach, I aim to empower others and contribute to a more inclusive, supportive society.
